The crack repairs were done professionally many years ago and are holding well with the installed cleats. There is one crack at the top of the pickguard near the sound hole that has been repaired but is still visible, to fully repair that crack the pickguard would have to be removed and doing so could cause other issues. All cracks, including this one, have been checked by our techs and are holding well. The bridge looks to have been reglued at some point in time and the original mother of pearl plugs have been replaced. The bridge itself and the bridge plate look to be original and the repair itself is holding well and looks to have been done professionally as well. The frets show some wear but still have good height left and the guitar plays well, they also look to be original. The original tuners have been replaced with a set of Allparts direct replacements and the saddle has been replaced with a newer one made of bone, the originals are included. The case is a basic fitted hardshell case.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGibson \"Banner\" guitars were made during World War 2 shortly after the USA joined the war in late 1941. Gibson pared their offerings down during these years due to shortages of wood and metal as well as the loss of a large part of the workforce to the war effort. The models offered at this time were the J-45, LG-1, LG-2, LG-3 SJ, and J-50.  This specific guitar, the LG-2, had a few incarnations within this era of production.
