Martin D-18VS Vintage Re-Issue (1999)
Gorgeous sounding, playing and feeling D-18VS built in 1999.
This slot headstock beauty is as much fun to look at as it is to play! An ebony fingerboard with abalone dots is paired with an ebony bridge with thru bridge saddle for that timeless look. 12 fret to the body construction, and a soft "V" neck profile with 1.75" nut width hearkens to the past. The finish is a golden amber and the red tortoise pickguard is a perfect complement.
Play-ability wise this guitar is magnificent for a fingerstyle player or someone with a lighter touch. The action is slightly lower than spec (3/32" bass, 1/16" treble at 12th) and feels very, very good all the way up the neck. Frets have been dressed recently and are even and well crowned. Original arched top hardshell case with some discoloration in the green plush interior.
This instrument has been musician owned and played, well taken care of and meticulously maintained. Very solid value for the money and likely to appreciate in the next few years.
