In-Store Returns

Items purchased can be returned for a full refund within 7 days of original purchase or exchanged within 14 days of original purchase. To qualify, items must include all original packaging e.g. boxes, case/bags etc. and be in the same condition as when purchased. Items that do not fit this criteria and show signs of wear, damage or functionality/playability issues may be subject to a restock fee of up to 20%.  As Is and Final Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange. 

The following products will have a 15% automatic restock fee in addition to our standard return policy

  • Effects pedals & tuners

  • All instrument pickups

  • All packaged & bulk guitar parts

  • Print music

  • Over the ear headphones

Method of return must correspond to the method of payment used originally. If products were traded to AMS as part of the payment for a purchase whether in part or in full, any returns will be refunded solely as store credit. Any transaction involving a discount are a final sale and any returns withing the standard return window will be store credit.

A gift receipt allows for a 16 day extension from our standard 14 day exchange policy. Any exchanges involving a gift receipt allow the customer to receive store credit for the full value.

Any products purchased using our financing options (Financeit & Afterpay) are only eligible for store credit or exchange if returned. 

The following items are not eligible for returns or exchange. Any warranties offered if any  with said products will be honored.

  • Microphone windscreens

  • Any instruments that require blowing into

  • Earbuds/in-ear monitors

  • Earplugs

  • Jaw harps

  • Strings

  • Picks

 

Online Returns

Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described. We recommend keeping all packing materials and packaging until the return period is up. The refund will be processed minus the shipping paid initially when making the order once the item arrives back at the store and is inspected. 

 

Warranties

Manufacturer/supplier warranties may differ from one another and we strongly recommend finding out how long the warranty period offered from them is. If a manufacturer offers product registration we recommend doing so as well as this will help any warranty claims during the warranty period.  We offer a 1 year in-store warranty on new items that may run concurrently with the manufacturer's warranty. This means that during the first year we will handle all contact with the manufacturer/supplier on your behalf and handle the warranty claims in store. 

Customers are entitled to a free adjustment on any stringed instrument within 1 year of original purchase.

Our used, vintage & b-stock items have been fully tested and inspected and have a 90 day warranty in store. This warranty includes a free adjustment if needed.
