This pedal is in good working condition with some cosmetic wear and dings to the case. The pedal has been fully tested and is working well and sounding great. It does not come with the original box.

The information below was found in an article on the Boss site about the history of Boss delay pedals

The DM-2 was originally released in 1981 and was a compact follow up after the Boss DM-1 Delay Machine. The major difference aside from the size compared to the DM-1 is that the DM-2 uses a BBD (bucket-brigade device) instead of a CCD (charge-coupled device) which is one of the reasons for the DM-2 having such a great warm tone.

To achieve a maximum of 300 milliseconds of delay time, BOSS engineers had to stretch the capabilities of the BBD chip used in the pedal. One of the ways they achieved this was to limit the frequency response of the effect sound. This compromise contributed to the DM-2’s warm and enveloping tone, which blends so well with a guitar or any other input signal.
