D'addario EXL series bass strings are nickel plated steel wound on a round core. One of the most popular strings for bass, they are bright, balanced and feel good. Available in a variety of gauges and scale lengths. 34" long scale is standard, 30" is short, 32' is medium and 35"+ is considered super long scale.
