This players grade pre-CBS Stratocaster has been thoroughly inspected in our repair shop with a full breakdown of originality to the best of our ability. 

Year:

• Neck stamp dates to July 2, 1964
  
• Middle pickup dates to August 24, 1964
• Both tone pots date to 1964
• Neck plate serial number dates to 1964

Original Components:

• Body, neck and fingerboard 
  
• 3 way switch
• Knobs
• Tuners
• Bridge assembly 
• Neck plate
• Middle pickup 
• Input jack and assembly 
• Era correct original case
  
• Ash tray bridge cover
• Tremolo arm 
• Back plate

Non-original Components:

• Refinished body with sunburst finish
  
• Neck pickup most likely from the 70s, with grey base plate, s/n 14232
• Bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan 
• There is an old humbucker routing job in bridge position
• Professional re-fret around 5-10 years ago with vintage medium tall frets. 
• 3-ply 11-hole W/BW/W pickguard
• Pickup screws are non-original

Playability:

• Recently setup in our shop with standard action and 10-46 gauge nickel wound strings
• Frets are in good shape, with plenty of height left. 
• Fret board is in overall good shape, with some minor divots but nothing that affects the playing. 
• All 3 pickups sound nice and pair appropriately with each other for a vintage style output and tone. 

Cosmetics:

• In overall good shape for an instrument of this age. 
• Classified as players grade due to the modifications and non original parts
• Has minor nicks and dings that are common from years of use
• The original bridge has some minor corosion of the metal but is fully functional
• The original headstock logo is well worn and missing most of the "Fender" part of the decal. 
• The back plate has some damage to 2 of the mounting holes.
