Gibson B-45-12 12-String Acoustic Guitar w/Case (1966)
This guitar is in very good condition for its age and has only some minor cosmetic wear. This model originally had trapeze tail piece and a thinner rectangular bridge from the era. At some point in its life a conversion was done to it where the trapeze was removed and a standard belly-down style bridge was installed. All the work has been assessed by our techs and it looks to have been very well done by a professional. The original 6-per side strip tuners were replaced with great inividiual Grover heads which while adding some weight to the headstock of the guitar does help a lot in terms of tuning stability. This guitar is currently setup for E flat tuning, it still sounds and plays great in standard but really shines in the slightly lower tuning. A Gibson hard shell case is included.
Here is the writeup from Gibson in the 1966 catalog
"Twelve strings with their special tuning and reinforced tone provide a unique guitar sound - favoured by folk singers, effective in combos and solo. The first three strings are tuned in unison; the last three in octaves. A traditional jumbo size with instrument with fine resonance and response... traditional Gibson tone and quality.
