2008 Gibson Explorer 50th Anniversary "Guitar Of The Month" in excellent shape. Each guitar of the month was limited to 1000 pieces and October featured the "50 Year Commemorative Explorer". It features a brimstone burst finish, ebony fingerboard, gold hardware, and banjo style locking tuners. This guitar looks to have had the original 57 classic pickups swapped out for active EMG pickups (81 in the neck and 85 in the bridge. The control compartment is still nice and clean and adequately houses the battery.
Has some minor cosmetic wear, scratches and a few dings. Frets are in good shape and have lots of life left.
Plays great with low action and light 10-46 gauge strings.
Sold with the original Gibson hardshell case and case candy.
