Gibson J-45 Slope Shoulder Acoustic/Electric Guitar w/Case - Vintage Sunburst (2000)
This guitar is in very good condition with no major wear or damage. The original owner took great care of this instrument, there are no cracks or major dings and structurally this guitar has no issues. Frets are still in very good condition as well. A full setup was done and we have strung it with D'Addario EJ16 strings. At some point a Fishman pickup was installed, it is an active pickup but there are no controls on the instrument. The original case is included as well as all the original case candy and tags.
This write up is from the 2000 Gibson catalog
"Since 1942, this slope-shoulder acoustic has been the sound behind countless recordings and concerts, as well as the guitar with which many great songs have been written. The J-45 is so well loved by guitarists that it has crossed all musical style barriers. Its body design has been popular for decades for its easy playing comfort, warm punchy sound and a distinctive appearance that has become the trademark of a Gibson. Construction features include a solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, scalloped bracing, vintage reverse belly bridge, vintage-style tuners, and its famous Vintage Sunburst finish. Created for the performing musician, the J-45 had been affectionately nicknamed "The Workhorse"
