This is a one owner instrument, purchased new in 1974. It was played for a few years and then retired to the closet. Features all original parts including case, hang tags, strap and original bill of sale.
The J-55 was originally produced from 1939 to 1942 but was a completely different instruemnt, this version of the J-55 was reintroduced in 1972 and featured a solid spruce top, layered mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, tortoise shell pickguard and binding.
Cosmetically it is in very good condition with some minor scratches and blemishes that come with an instrument of this age.
