Gibson Les Paul Custom w/Case - Cherry Sunburst (1975)

The Gibson Les Paul Custom from this era features an ebony fingerboard, block inlays, gold hardware, Pancake body (thin layer of maple sandwiched between two slabs of mahogany), cherry burst finish, and 2 humbucker pickups. 

This instrument has a lot of mojo and has had some repairs along the way. 

The original parts include: tuners, bridge, tail piece, and knobs.

Aftermarket parts include: upgraded Graph Tech saddles and aftermarket pickups that we believe to be Gibson PAF reissues from a few years ago.

It has seen some repairs along the way. Most notably the neck has been sanded down and taken off at some point in its life. The binding on the fret board has some inconsistencies where the neck was removed. There was also a headstock repair at some point that may have been done years ago at the Gibson factory. It appears that the original headstock was replaced as the maple wood grain does not match at the repaired scarf joint. This repair has been holding strong for years and is structurally solid.

Overall the guitar plays and sounds great. The frets have some minor wear but enough height for another fret dress. the ebony fingerboard is also in good shape with no major divots or wear. 

The original body is in good shape but has some cosmetic wear from years of use and shallow top crack on the body. 

Currently setup with low action, 10-46 gauge D'addario strings and weighs in at 10 lbs 10.7 oz.
