This guitar is in very good condition with minor cosmetic wear. The frets show signs of wear but still have good height left for a fret dress, the guitar is currently setup and is strung with D'Addario EJ16 strings. Structurally there are no issues with this instrument and the neck and neck angle are both great. At some point a passive pickup was installed in the guitar, the pickup is working well with no issues. The original Gretsch case is included.
This is the writeup on this guitar from the 1989 Gretsch catalog
"This is a big guitar, 17" wide, 3 1/2" to 4 1/4" deep, with maple back and sides, spruce top. It has multiple binding on the body, headpiece and neck and a patented French design sound hole. The neck is laminated rock maple, the fingerboard, bound rosewood. The western motif inlays suggest a big sky, a big sound. The Rancher, gold-plated hardware, enclosed gear machines, acoustic-design pin bridge, western maple stain finish. Listen to that sound of the west.
