This guitar is in good condition with some wear. All parts seem to be original except for 2 of the knobs. The frets are original and have noticeable wear but the guitar still plays great as it is. A full setup has been done by our techs and the guitar has been strung with Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings. A rectangular hardshell case is included.
Mann guitars were made in Japan (and later Korea) and imported into Canada by Great West Imports for the Canadian market. They were available from the early 70's to the early to mid 80's. Early models in the 1970's were Japanese made with production being moved to South Korea in the early 80's until the end of the brand. Early Japanese made Mann guitars were nearly all replicas of other famous American brands and were considered part of the "lawsuit" era of Japanese guitar manufacurting. The "second generation" of guitars that were made in Korea had a smaller product line up and were more generic as to not get in trouble with manufacturers. This particular one would be from the Korean made era.
This is the writeup from a Mann catalog from the early to mid 1980's
"Traditionally shaped solid body with maple neck which runs through the body for sustain. Brass nut and bridge which loads strings through the back of the guitar. Firepower extra high output blade pickups. Dark figured, solid wood body with blonde nexk and fingerboard, satin finish. A superior instrument.
