Slingerland Artist Model 14"x5.5" - Sparkling Red (1965)

This snare drum is in very good condition with only minor cosmetic wear.  We believe the shells to be the unimold maple/poplar/mahogany shell with solid maple reinforcement rings. It was around this time that Slingerland switched to maple inner plys from mahogany.  The stick saver hoops are brass and the muffler appears to be original. The Zoomatic strainer and butt plate are functioning perfectly. The finish is in very good condition and there are no marks or damage on the chrome. The batter head is a Remo Ambassador Coated and the resonant head is a Remo Ambassador Hazy. 

This is the model of Slingerland snare preferred by Neil Peart as his "Old Faithful" used from the "2112" tour to the end of the "Counterparts" tour.
